Minor Strings

One String Scale

On the right is a minor scale on one-string
Root notes are marked by X's
Notice that root notes on the same string are always 12 frets apart
The minor scale starts and ends on the root note

These lines are strings
These rectangles are frets
These letters tell you which string the notes are on
These numbers tell you which frets the notes are on
Below is the scale from root note to root note on one-string, two-strings, and three-strings
Notice there are eight notes in the scale with the root twice: A,B,C,D,E,F,G,A

Notice the spacing between notes for minor scales.
Starting and ending on the root going either one or two forward:

two, one, two, two, one, two, two
Since you either go one or two forward, there's an easy trick to memorize the spacing:

Between root notes, go two-forward everytime except  for the second and the fifth, that go one
(note: there are 7-spacings)
Scales below are numbered from 1 to 7

1's are marked by X's and are root notes

Starting 1's are blue and ending 1's are green
Try playing from starting blue 1's to ending green 1's.

First play the scale on one-string

When ready, move on to try two and then three strings

All three scales share the same note order:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1
Once you are able to play through the scales with one finger, try and split them up into groups of two and three notes with different fingers
